Responsibilities:

  • Working with University Systems in development, implementation, troubleshooting, and training. Must attend training seminars and be knowledgeable in the areas needed to perform required services.
    • Assist with recruiting, hiring, training and managing the department's work–study staff
    • Assist with planning and implementation of the annual re-boot STA training program
    • Assist with the financial aid paper work of the work-study staff including verifying hours worked, submission of bi-weekly timesheets and budget.
    • Ensure all computer lab equipment and campus printers are fully functional and are supported by student staff; maintain inventory of all consumables (i.e. paper, toner, drum)
    • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to work-study employees who work in the public labs.
    • Provide administrative support as needed to the department offices
    • Assist with maintaining printing budget and department expenditure logs
    • Creation of printing invoices for multiple departments across campus
    • Assist with testing and implementing South Orange printing project
    • Begin implementation of printing invoices system for South Orange campus
    • Maintain SNOW (ticket database) IHS/SO printer queues
    • Coordinate public lab summer upgrades/projects (hardware/software)
    • Ensure printing invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner
    • Facilitate training to incoming Graduate Assistants

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of computer programs and systems.  
  • Student must be interested in further development of skills.  
  • Must be self reliant to perform required tasks.
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, time management skills, self-sufficient, able to work in a fast paced environment, critical thinking skills, management / supervisory skills
