Members of the Housing Justice Corps will be part of a network of advocates, some of whom will work in the Center for Social Justice, while others will be placed at other legal services providers and community organizations. The Housing Justice Corps will be a community of advocates who develop close ties and maintain effective interaction throughout their service in the Housing Justice Corps. Extensive training and mentoring will be offered by the Center for Social Justice and our partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Undertake extensive initial training through the Housing Justice Project and ongoing training during the duration of the position. Provide legal representation to low-income people in matters affecting housing stability.
Participate in stakeholder and community/advocacy meetings and engage in housing advocacy.
Provide community education and outreach in the area of housing stability.
Required Qualifications:
J.D. law degree required
