Responsibilities:

  • 1. Working knowledge and coordination of necessary procedures for openings, check-ins, check-outs, closings, room changes, room assignments, work orders, and Room Conditions Reports
    2. Performs duty responsibilities punctually and reliably. (Duty includes day, night, weekends and holiday commitments)
    3. Completes all administrative functions accurately and promptly
    4. Disseminates appropriate information to conference guests and students (through posters, flyers, meetings, etc.) in an effective and timely fashion
    5. Attend all staff meetings called by the supervisor or his/her designee
    6. Participates in all required training sessions
    7. Maintains daily contact with Supervisor and keeps him/her informed of hall situations, activities and problems
    8. Is available for conference guests and for all check-ins, check-outs, and major summer hall activities
    9. Be responsible, able to take initiative, flexible, and have the ability to accept and problem solve challenges
    10. Assists in the set-up and break-down of individual rooms
    11. Enforces university policies and documents of any incidents in writing within 24 hours of the incident
    12. Develops and maintains good interpersonal relationships with residents and conference guests
    13. Sets up rooms with linen and completes room prep checklist prior to guest check in
    14. CA's are hired for the entirety of campus and are expected to help out in any building as assigned including Ora and Turrell Manor
    15. Wear summer conference staff shirt when checking summer conference guests in/out while on duty
    16. Work independently and in groups, sometimes under pressure
    17. Act as University representative and resource person for conference participants and guests
    18. Serve in a duty rotation
    19. Assist DA's in crowd control when needed
    20. Submit vacation requests 2-3 weeks in advance for planning purposes
    21. Additional duties as assigned
    Filing, typing, mailings, clerical, assists with supplies, data entry, receptionist, answers phone.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience necessary but must be registered for classes for Fall 2020.
