We are seeking an experienced administrator to ensure that the University’s compliance and training programs adhere to applicable federal and state regulations, as well as University policies. The Director is responsible for reviewing and investigating claims of discrimination, overseeing the University’s Title IX Compliance Program, and serving as the 504/ADA Coordinator. The Director reports to the Chief Equity, Diversity, and Compliance Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and investigate complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and whistle-blowing
  • Draft correspondence and investigation reports.
  • Develop, revise, and recommend policies and procedures related to the University’s anti-discrimination, non-retaliation, and whistle-blowing policies
  • Train designated university administrators to serve as co-investigators in both Title IX and non-Title IX matters.
  • Assist in the selection of co-investigators in the investigation process for complaints
  • Oversee the administration of the Ethics Point Hotline and web-based reporting system in compliance with the University’s Whistleblower Policy and delegate review of the reports to appropriate departments
  • Oversee and manage the administration of on-line anti-discrimination/Title IX/VAWA training programs for the University community; conduct in-person anti-discrimination/Title IX/VAWA training for the University community in a variety of settings
  • Prepare metric driven reports and present them to the Audit Committee of the Board of Regents for updates on internal complaints; prepare materials for the Audit Committee for executive session
  • Serve as Title IX Coordinator and manage Title IX Compliance in consultation with Deputy Title IX Coordinators
  • Serve as the 504/ADA Coordinator for the University community
  • Supervise staff
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • At least five years of work experience with EEO, Title IX, and/or ADA in higher education or other comparable nonprofit entity required, including the investigation of complaints
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Ability to draft investigative reports
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience with the design and delivery of training is required
  • A Master’s degree is required; Law degree preferred
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion is required
  • A commitment to the Catholic educational mission of Seton Hall required
