Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provide instruction/tutoring in a classroom and/or lab setting to students enrolled in Computer Science and related courses, as well as lower and upper level Math courses
-Attend supervision meetings & trainings (MANDATORY)
-Monitor student performance or assist students in academic environments in classrooms, or computer labs.
-Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and assist students in understanding the concepts.
-Utilize materials pertaining to subject matter
-Assist Instructors to set lesson goals and milestones
-Must be reliable
-Serve as a positive role model for students
-Positive attitude
-Analyze and resolve computer problems.
-Communicate technical guidance and instruction to students on the use of PC and/or network applications and systems.
-Patient, caring, and creative
-Flexible, adaptive, and a team player
-Able to take on many tasks at once and prioritize them by importance and relevance
-Creative and able to foster a fun learning environment
-Efficient time management
-Collaborate with instructors to evaluate student needs
-Assist instructor by gathering materials or setting up equipment

-Adjust lessons to advance skills beyond classroom level

-Pay extra attention to problems and subjects student struggles with
-Review students’ homework
-Assist student in completing class assignments
-Teach new skills using technology
-Document progress to discuss with instructors and administrative staff
-Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor
Required Qualifications:
(Have 30 or more post –secondary education credits and established proficiency in all areas of Math and or in Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology.
GPA of 3.0 or better
At least two years of post-secondary education completed
Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational skills
