FITNESS INSTRUCTOR 2021-2022 - Regan Center South Orange
Our Fitness Instructors are responsible for leading structured exercise classes for the University community. Instructors develop lesson plans, supervise class participants, and work with us to provide a safe and effective environment. It is helpful if applicants have some experience teaching similar programs in a group setting, but not mandatory. An understanding of current trends in fitness is also desired. Experience is not necessary, however the desire to learn is. We will provide the opportunity for each applicant to attend certification classes in exchange for a one year commitment to teach.
The Athletic Department student staff assists in the operation of varsity sports as well as recreational programming for the University community. Responsible, knowledgeable students assist in the administration of the facility and our sport programs. Those chosen work 2 or 3 hour blocks around their class schedules.
Student Technology Assistant - TLTC - 2021/2022 South Orange
Student Technology Assistants are our academic consultants for excellence, and assist with maintaining the classroom audiovisual equipment and implementing faculty technology projects. STAs are also responsible for providing support to all phases of Teaching, Learning and Technology Center operations, including, but not limited to: web content, graphic design, multimedia production, Blackboard support, classroom technology support and general tech support. STAs are specifically trained to handle tasks such as audio and video production and editing, document scanning with or without optical character recognition (OCR), digital imaging. Certain members of the STA team will work closely with the web development team to update content on the University website. The Digital Media team also often employs these student workers to beta test our projects as well as provide quality assurance reviews. Training will be provided to students, for any given technology task they may be working on

The Office of Student Engagement (OSE) is seeking top level, organized, team oriented and innovative student leaders to assist with projects in the areas of graphic design, social media, marketing, video, photography, and web-based platform management. This position will gain valuable experience in their technical proficiencies, while also strengthening their problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skill sets.
