The Center for Social Justice provides free legal services to the community while training law students to be ethical and skilled lawyers. The Intake & Legal Technology Specialist coordinates all requests for assistance to the Center for Social Justice, including intake by individuals who come to the office, as well as those who contact the CSJ by phone, mail, and online, and provides resource and referral information to numerous individuals on a daily basis. The Specialist develops and maintains online legal intake and community information materials and assists faculty and students with legal technology software. This individual also provides support as needed to the paralegals, students, and faculty, including assistance with translation/interpretation. Must have excellent organizational, record-keeping and time management skills working in a fast-paced environment Focus of the work will be on housing matters. |

The Center for Social Justice operates as a public interest law firm within Seton Hall Law School. The CSJ was recently funded by the Essex County Board of Freeholders to provide legal services to detained immigrants at the Essex County Correctional Facilities. The paralegal will support the work of the new attorney hired to undertake this work, as well as the faculty and students of the Immigrants' Rights Clinic who are assisting detained immigrants with the support of this grant. |

The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for all front-line customer services including communication related to the Admissions process of Seton Hall University. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for receiving and delivering all electronic, voice and in-person related information pertaining to the inquiry application and enrollment processes of the Office of Admissions. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for assessing the customer service provided by the Office of Admissions and suggesting ways to enhance the services provided. Additionally, this position will be responsible for meeting with and speaking to students and families, specifically in terms of the application process, decision process, and financial aid process. The Admissions Counselor will make decisions on the applications of students when necessary and will be well-versed in the enrollment process to better assist prospective students in their application/financial aid review.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for providing daily information sessions to campus visitors prior to taking a tour as well as conducting interviews of prospective students. They may also be responsible for providing tours. The Admissions Counselor will need to be customer service oriented with a strong desire to work with others. The Admissions Counselor should also be available to work some weekend and evening events throughout a recruitment cycle. |
