Duties and Responsibilities:

Support event planning for College Awards Wine and Cheese Event and conferences supported by the Office of the Dean
• Coordinating the Dean’s Advising Council meetings, providing essential support for proposed initiatives.
• Work directly with DAC members to facilitate successful initiatives, following up as appropriate.
• Manage and staff the Dean’s Speaker Series every Friday, including speaker coordination, meetings, poster creation, promotion, and presentation assistance.
• Take charge of program marketing efforts, ensuring effective communication and outreach.
• Contribute to day-to-day college operations, providing strategic support and communication.
• Assist in various special projects, including event coordination, recruitment for graduate and undergraduate programs, and retention initiatives
• Answer phones in the Dean’s Office during work study/secretarial staff absence, directing students appropriately.
• Communicate with students via email, writing, and phone calls.
• Provide exemplary customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
• Attend events as requested.
• Undertake additional assignments as needed by the Interim Dean and his team.


Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; acceptance into a Graduate Program 
• Understanding of and willingness to support Seton Hall University's Catholic mission.

 

Required Skills & Experience:
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with high levels of tact, responsibility, proactive thinking, and attention to detail.
• Excellent social media skills, particularly with Instagram, and engagement with student trends.
• Creativity

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to interpret and analyze data.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
