The College of Human Development, Culture, and Media seeks highly-skilled, federally funded work study students to support and assist in the various areas of the College for Spring Semester 2025.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The College of Human Development, Culture, and Media seeks highly-skilled, federally funded work study students to support and assist in the various areas of the College for Spring Semester 2025.
Students hired will be trained in different office or labs areas. Student Office Assistants (in Art Center, Arts and Sciences Hall, Fahy Hall, Jubilee Hall and Music Center) will assist faculty, administrators and staff with a variety of office tasks as delegated by a direct supervisor. Assigned tasks include, but are not limited to: varied administrative duties, recruitment outreach, outcomes assessment, training initiatives, project-based research, writing projects, supporting College events as needed, and other duties as assigned.
These assignments may include evening and weekend work.
Staffing will be needed between the hours of 8:45-4:45, Monday-Friday.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to produce high-quality documents.
-Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
-Strong ability to interact effectively with all levels of the University community as well as outside constituents.
-Interact cordially and respectfully, maintaining confidentiality as required.
-Detail-oriented, good telephone skills, dependable and punctual.
-Ability to work independently and on project-based work.
-Only students who have been awarded a federal work study will be considered.
