Assists students and parents regarding the financial aid process and provides information on available programs, procedures, and eligibility requirements. Reviews financial aid applications and related documentation for compliance with eligibility requirements. Provides assistance to students and parents in the completion of financial aid applications. Assistance is provided in person, over the telephone and through email. Researches and resolve student accounts. Accesses sensitive material and uses professional judgment according to university, state and federal regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Scanning and Indexing data daily. Documents are data sensitive and require that confidential standards are maintained. Such documents are then sorted for filing. Additionally, prepare correspondence, including missing information for student population. Open and distribute office mail.

Maintain the Financial Aid inbox by reviewing, researching, and responding to inquiries on a daily basis.

Perform Federal verification for a specified group of students as determined by the supervisor.

Maintain responsible contact with students and families by way of rotating front counter responsibilities and following up on referrals from call center. Ability to identify needs/concerns of others, determine potential solutions, resolve or redirect appropriately.

Maintain suspense reports by resolving discrepant data which may also include contacting students for appropriate resolution.
