Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide professional office support to the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund
• Assist in executing special projects, tasks, and serve as support for various Pirate Blue functions
• Willing to learn Raiser’s Edge software and data analysis processes
• Updating alumni contact information
• Assist with Pirate Blue Athletic Fund social media presence
• Assist in the creation and editing of invitations, letters, and direct mail projects
• Support the Pirate Blue staff with all fundraising and external events
• Track and assist Men’s basketball season ticket holders with seat premium contributions
• Assist with creation of ideas for promotions for the Blue Beard Army student club

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and an educational background that will satisfy the graduate entrance requirements of Seton Hall University
• Understanding of fundraising and alumni relations
• Applicant must possess an understanding of and willingness to support the Seton Hall University Catholic mission
• Ability to communicate effectively with Athletic administrators, coaches, SHU community, alumni, fans, and external constituents
• Must be energetic, responsible, organized, and motivated to assist the Department of Athletics in carrying out the Marketing and External Affairs strategic plans for the 14 Division I teams
• Strong time management, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and manage several projects simultaneously
• Ability to think creatively, learn, and work both independently and as part of a team
• Computer- & technology-competence
• Applicant must be accepted and enrolled in a full-time SHU graduate program
• Position includes working varying weekly schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holiday breaks

Desired Qualifications:

Leadership experience; management of interns, volunteers, etc.
• Willingness to work beyond the prescribed scope of the position
Must be able to stand for long periods of time; must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.; must be willing & able to work fundraising, and indoor & outdoor athletic events
