The Upward Bound Program is seeking adjunct instructors for the high school seniors, 6 weeks Summer Bridge course (SKIL 1104). The SKIL1104: College Study Skills is a one-credit, twenty four-hour course designed to assist students in building a strong foundation of study skills for a successful transition to college. Students learn about college/campus resources and support services, academic opportunities, and future career options. To accomplish this, the course provides information on the College processes and technology; resources for self-assessment and reflection; strategies for academic and career success; and opportunities for college involvement. The incumbent is responsible for implementing curricula, instructing assigned course consistent with syllabus, evaluating student learning, and fostering student success. The incumbent reports to the Director of the Upward Bound program. The incumbent is expected to plan, organize, and instruct in a manner to promote and direct successful student learning in keeping with the University’s values and goals.
