Tenure Track Faculty Position in Quantitative Research Methods

The Department of Education Leadership, Management, and Policy offers M.A., Ed.S., Ed.D., and Ph.D. programs for students who seek educational leadership, policy, and research positions in public, private, and parochial schools, districts, and government agencies as well as institutions of higher education, non-profit and other education policy organizations.

We seek a candidate with expertise in the areas of quantitative research methodology and education policy to teach courses in introductory, intermediate and advanced statistics to Masters- and doctoral-level graduate students in educational leadership in traditional (on-campus), online, and weekend formats. The substantive areas of scholarly research in educational leadership and policy are open; however, research in areas related to one or more of the following: K-12 educational leadership, evaluation practice, policy, finance, special education, or English language acquisition are strongly preferred. Preference will be given to a candidate with experience working in one or more of the aforementioned areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include teaching courses in statistics, quantitative research design, and education policy in the various graduate programs; conducting impactful research and publishing scholarly work on education; advising Masters and doctoral students; supervising doctoral dissertations and/or field placements; assisting with student recruitment and assessments; and contributing to program development and coordination.
  • Faculty are expected to be active members of the College of Education and Human Services and the broader Seton Hall Community and to participate in university initiatives and partnerships with schools and communities

Required Qualifications:

  • Required qualifications include an earned doctorate in educational leadership, educational policy, or a related field (candidates nearing the end of their doctorates may be considered); demonstrated record of scholarly achievement (publications and or conference presentations) in education and/or quantitative research methods.
  • Experience in K-12 educational administration, working with K-12 educators and leaders or conducting research on K-12 issues is strongly preferred.
