This role has three main functions:
Recruitment and Marketing
With the MPA Program Chair, develop and implement and annual marketing plan.
o This includes social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), Idealist.org, advertising when cost effective, and ensuring our brochures are up to date.
Identify, register for, and attend student recruitment fairs; represent the MPA program at open houses.
Serve as the main point of contact for all prospective student inquiries.
o This includes answering emails and calls; setting up student visits to answer questions; providing personalized campus tours; and keeping track of everything in our Salesforce system.
Assess the website, marketing efforts, and recruitment literature of the MPA program to update or revise accordingly
Serve as the main point of contact for all alumni inquiries; engage with alumni as much by sending a monthly newsletter, inviting them to events, matching students to alumni with similar career paths, etc.
Organize and plan the annual “Alumni Networking Event” together with Alumni Relations
Coordinate with Alumni Relations to ensure that the Alumni stay active
o This includes planning events by consistently engaging with them and building relationships
Maintain alumni database with accurate information such as positions and contact information
Current Student Relations
Research jobs, internships, scholarships, fellowships, events, etc. to include in the weekly newsletter
Manage the course evaluation process which includes dissemination to all faculty
Organize and plan new student orientations
Serve as the main point of contact to assist students with registration, issues, paperwork, etc.
o This includes maintaining email contacts for students, managing the departments Blackboard groups and coordinating student communications
Plan student events, social and professional, to engage students and create a positive culture within the program
Applicants must possess an understanding of and willingness to support the Seton Hall University catholic mission.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Suite, PowerPoint etc.) Ability to work independently; strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with international students preferred but not required. Preferred candidate will be an MPA student with at least one of course remaining.
