Seton Hall University invites interested persons to apply for the position of Associate Dean of Assessment and Accreditation in the College of Education and Human Services. The position is responsible for management and oversight of the CAEP accreditation process, including the quality assurance system, and use of data for improving candidate learning and program quality. The associate dean provides leadership and essential knowledge within the college, across campus, and in the community to support teacher, school leader, and other school personnel programs. In addition, the position supports assessment goals for two other accredited programs, Marriage and Family Therapy (COAMFTE) and Counseling Psychology (APA). The associate dean prepares or assists in the preparation of all required internal assessment reports as well as those required by accrediting bodies, specialty professional associates, the federal government, and the New Jersey Department of Education.

Accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, the College of Education and Human Services is one of Seton Hall's eight colleges and schools. The College of Education and Human Services offers programs at the bachelors, masters and doctoral levels and is noted for its nontraditional scheduling, its hands-on internships and its community involvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The role of associate dean of assessment and accreditation is to oversee the development, implementation, and refinement of the CAEP assessment and overall accreditation process, as well as the process for maintaining national recognition from the Specialty Professional Associations at the program level. The AD will work with the faculty and data coordinator on the use of Chalk and Wire.
- This position also provides assessment support for the PPFT Department in maintaining APA and COAM-FTE accreditation. It is expected that the Associate Dean for Assessment and Accreditation will work cooperatively with the Counseling faculty to attain accreditation in that field. Additionally, the AD is the CEHS liaison to the University Assessment Director.
- The associate dean represents the unit on internal and external committees/conferences associated with assessment and accreditation. As the central support for data collection and analysis, the position supports the dean, chairs, and program directors in evaluating student and program effectiveness.
- The associate dean also completes the CAEP/AACTE annual report that has extensive data and reporting associated with accreditation standards. Finally, the AD works closely with the faculty and the data coordinator to ensure that data is entered into the quality assurance system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Candidates should have a doctorate in education or a related field that represents a program offered in the College of Education and Human Services. A minimum of 4 years experience with accreditation and/or assessment or other related area is required.
- Direct experience, and success, leading CAEP or CAEP-related assessment systems.
- Knowledge of and experience with electronic tools typically used for assessment.
- The position requires a creative, motivating individual who can work at the macro and micro level of assessment to engage faculty in the continuous improvement process.
- Experience as a faculty member at an institution of higher education in a program offered by the College of Education and Human Services.
