Due to program success and expansion, the School of Health and Medical Sciences (SHMS) at Seton Hall University invites qualified individuals to apply for a replacement, open-rank, twelve-month faculty position in the Department of Physical Therapy beginning July 1, 2017. The Department of Physical Therapy launched a redesigned contemporary three-year Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum in 2016. The curriculum features academic and clinical courses designed to graduate practitioners as movement specialists aligning with the vision for Physical Therapy, healthcare trends, and the Seton Hall University mission to form servant leaders.
The School of Health and Medical Sciences at Seton Hall University has a significant national presence in health science education. In response to a changing healthcare environment, the School has assumed a leadership role in offering high quality, innovative programs at the master's and doctoral levels. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include teaching, advising, mentoring students, conducting their own research, mentoring student research, and service to the university, community, and profession. The successful candidate will possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Qualified candidates must hold, or be eligible for, NJ State PT licensure. Applicants must have an academic doctorate, (PhD, EdD, DSc) or a DPT with ABPTS clinical certification. Professionals with academic teaching experience is highly desirable. We are seeking a faculty member who can teach in their area of expertise including critical inquiry, patient management skills in orthopedics and neurology, and contribute to departmental scholarship.
