Assist the Director to foster the program. Assist in editing articles for the Lonergan Review. Maintain Director’s scholarship on and e-Repository as need be.
Keep regular office hours. Answer phones and manage mail and email. Update Catholic Studies bulletin board with creative material that helps to market the program, promote upcoming events, and other related activities.
Manage and update the Center for Catholic Studies website, including ongoing announcements, forum threads, and new resources. Maintain the iTunesU channel. Maintain WordPress page.
Work with the Director of Programs on planning, implementing and promoting ongoing schedule of events and activities. Create and disseminate promotional materials, including news stories and releases, e-blasts (emails to our constituent lists) and flyers. Assist in event set up and resources required.
Assist the Visiting Professor of the Toth/Lonergan Endowed Chair in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Keep well-organized computer files that document activities and contacts of the Center. Maintain and update database of friends and contacts. Maintain all mailing lists in excel. Prepare labels for promotional mailings.
Maintain program files and collect all program notices and publicity to maintain annual program binders.
Work with other departments, especially the Department of Catholic Studies, Religious Studies, School of Diplomacy, the Honors Program, and the History Department on promoting speakers and programs of mutual interest.
Establish working relations with Center for Vocation & Servant Leadership, Campus Ministry, DOVE, Student Government Association (SGA) to develop and promote programs or activities of mutual interests.

Applicants must possess an understanding of and willingness to support the Seton Hall University Catholic mission.
The Graduate Assistant for the Center for Catholic Studies should be someone with personal and technical skills who can further this program.
Familiarity with editing web content is preferable, including familiarity with Common Spot, Wordpress, eRepository, and Be Press.
Applicant must have strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail.
Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and word, and creativity with Microsoft Publisher or Adobe InDesign.
